“Who is ‘she’ Hitori?” Hana asked more firmly now.

Hitori started to sweat. How could she possibly tell Hana that ‘she’ was Kyen Koh? She knew that she couldn’t lie to Hana. Hana would surely see that Hitori was lying. Hitori made up her mind. She quickly walked past Hana and made sure the door was closed and that nobody was listening.

Hana, I’m going to be honest with you.” Hitori whispered, “’She’ is Kyen Koh.”

Hitori had expected that Hana would jump up and shout at her, calling her a traitor, but Hana just remained calmly in her chair.

“I knew that she wasn’t all that evil. When she came in here to plead that she could join us, I saw her earnest eyes. So, what made her join the Sendo?”

“She was Aiko’s sister and became the leader of the tribe when she died. At first she wanted to help me to get the Hikari Crystals, but she’s not so sure anymore. She doesn’t hate us Mikomi, but the rest of the Sendo Tribe does, so that’s why she’s been fighting us.”

Hana nodded, “Maybe we can find a way to both leave this accursed valley.” She sighed as tears formed into her eyes.

“You will keep this a secret, won’t you Hana?” Hitori begged her best friend.

“Of course I will silly.” Hana laughed again.

Together they laughed until their belly’s hurt so much that they started to cry in pain.

Kino was in desperate need of some fresh air, so he decided to take a walk in the forest. He thought about everything that happened, and about things that were yet to happen.

‘Will we be able to leave this place for once and for all?’ He thought, ‘And if we do, what will we do next? This place is not the best place to live, but at least we have our homes here.’

Lost in thought he suddenly heard a sound. As he tried to find its source the sound became clearer. He identified it as a crying baby. After a few minutes he found a bundle. In the bundle was a girl with green hair and clear-green eyes. Kino quickly walked to the bundle and took it in its arms. At an instant, the baby girl stopped crying.

“Who would leave a cute little girl like you in a forest like this? It can start raining anytime soon and you would have gotten sick and died!” He said.

Kino was quite old, a little arrogant and hardly ever laughed, but looking at this little girl made a smile appear on his lips.

“Come, let me take you to your new home little girl.” He said as he walked back to his village again.

When he came back he saw a few people looking upto a tree where a girl was repeatedly telling them she was all right. Kino took advantage of the situation and slipped passed his tribe members. He didn’t want them to see him with a baby in his arms. He quickly went to his hut, and at the moment he closed his door, it started to rain again. Kino decided to take a good look at the girl. When he unwrapped the bundle his eyes got very big. The girl had hair twice as long as her own body! The girl giggled at him, stretched her little arms and put up a face nobody could resist, not even the sometimes cold-hearted Kino. Kino hugged the girl, feeling very peaceful as he did. He knew it for sure; he was going to take care of this little girl.

“I’ll call you Urania, after my mother.”

“I told you, I’m fine!” Moyasu shouted at the people who were standing beneath her tree. Those people were starting to annoy her, and on top of that, it had started to rain again.

“How did you get up there?!” A woman called.

“How about CLIMBING!”

The people looked at the tree, which was quite big and hardly had any branches at the bottom. Moyasu knew that they didn’t believe her. She could run away, but thanks to the rain the branches were slippery and the chance was big she would fall, although she had the Ruby of the Dragon. She could also just neglect them, but then they would surely find a way to get her out of that tree. If she told the Mikomi she was a Chi, they would probably laugh at her or kill her. What to do, what to do for Moyasu?

‘Oh Afrian, what should I do?’ She prayed.
