Part 60: Confusion

Hitori's eyes widened again and for a moment, she was confused. "What?"

Hana turned to her, "both Lana and Kino are gone."

"Yes, but why?"

Hana didn't have the answer, Hitori thought for a second.

"Lady Hitori, I think it is best to continue this matter later", said Mr. Shikai.

Hitori nodded, "Yes we must solve this first. We have to find Lana and Kino." Hitori got up. She walked towards the triplets, "get people ready to start a search."

"Yes..." "...we..." "...will..." They turned and quickly walked away to organise a search for the missing people.

"Hitori..." Hitori heared her voice and turned. It was Nagata who had called her.

"I'm sorry, but we have to find Lana before she reaches the Sendo. We can't let the Sendo find out that she is gone." Hitori smiled a little and Nagata nodded.

Suddenly footsteps were headed towards the councill Hall. "Lady Hitori." "The horses..." "they are gone!"

"What? Where are they?"

"We don't know." "Somebody must have opened their boxes..." "...so we can't follow them and..."

"Get more people. Look for the horses too!", Hitori interrupted.

"They might have headed towards the water stream." Hitori looked at Ty, who had spoken from behind them.

"We'll look there first", answered Wevlum and they left.

"I'll go too." Hitori smiled at Mariko and they both left the council Hall.

Zesshou was running through the woods with Siren in his backpack. The Mikomi guards followed them behind. "We maaaade it!" Yelled Siren.

After a while they stopped. "Yes we made it...", Zesshou said and looked around.

"So what will we do now?" Siren got out of the backpack.

"I think it's best we head back to our tribe", said one of the guards, the other guard nodded then asked, "will you come with us? As soon as the Sendo Tribe find out we killed those Sendo guys back at their camp, they might come after you..."

"Well...", started Zesshou, but Siren interrupted, "Yesss! Good idea, then we can get married!"

Zesshou frowned, stopped talking and stared at Siren, "what?"

"You agreed to marry me, you promised... How can you have forgotten that my love?" Siren put on a sad face and looked at Zesshou.

'Oh right, I did promise... How can I get out of this?', he thought.

One of the guards smiled and looked at Zesshou, "well why didn't you tell us that before? Congratualations to both of you!"

Siren danced a little, giggled while saying: "yes, we're one happy couple."

"Then indeed, come with us. I'm sure our tribe will share your great joy." The other guard, who had been silent for a moment spoke again: "then I suggest we leave at once, before any more troubles will cross our path."

"Owww", Zesshou said softly with a sad face.

Siren giggled, "what's wrong my love?"

"Oh nothing..."

Suddenly they heard something and they stopped walking to listen. "Who's there?" Asked Siren and climbed on Zesshou's shoulder.

The guards pushed Zesshou aside and got in front of them, "shh..."

They walked slowly and quietly. They stepped into the bushes to hide a little. They had no idea who that was, but they had to be careful. Besides, they were pretty curious to find out who was there.

They pushed away a few branches. In a little open spot, the guards, Zesshou and Siren saw Lana and Kino talking to each other. "What are they doing here?", whispered one of the guards.

"Do you think Lady Hitori knows of this?", whispered the other one back.

"I doubt it... Let's listen to what they're saying."

At the Sendo Tribe they got ready for the prisoner exchange, "we have less than five hours left. We're late! Move move move!" A few Sendo guards were holding Baku as a few others got everything ready for transportation. "We're ready Sir!"

Quite a number of Sendo guards, Lord Tebok, Baku and a few others left the village, on their way to the point between the two tribes were they've agreed to exchange Baku for Lana.

Lord Tebok was riding his horse in front of everybody. "You know what to do once we have Lana right?" He said to the guards.
