"Well whatever." Lana said bored, "Just kill them all, my Sendo warriors. We'll be taking that map for free."

The Sendo warriors didn't hesitate to follow their empress's command and attacked. Tebok wanted to engage Hitori, but Nagata stood ready to prot-

"Mother..." Baku stammered. He was amazed when he took a look around and saw that everyone was frozen solid, some even in mid flight. It had also turned darker and it was somehow hard for him to breathe.

"A time stop... This is father's doing, isn't it?" Lana asked while casually approaching Kyrlian.

Baku ripped off his chains and grabbed Lana's arm. "You have NO right to call him your father!"

"Baku... Lana... How can you make this happen?" Kyrlian asked, ignoring her son and daughter's debate. "If you, Lana, and the lightcarriers face off... it would be disastrous for the entire world, not to mention The Clouds Before the Sun, have you considered that?"

"I don't CARE about your precious kingdom in the sky. What I do care about is that my beloved Layou is released!" Lana declared furiously, "So, get out of my way!" With one swipe of her arm she threw her mother against a tree, which snapped immediately and shattered into tiny bits.

"Lana! Stop what you're doing!" Baku commanded.

"Or what?" Lana smirked. She walked over to Hitori and put her hands around her neck. "You know how fragile this world is in a time stop. And you know what would happen if I shatter her neck and time would resume, don't you?"

Baku grinded his teeth.

"I thought so..."

"Miss! Master Afrain has been retu-" Hermi immediately stopped when he saw that Lana had rid herself of the time stop effect.

"YOU!" Lana yelled. "You were the one that spied on me and told Afrain that I was pregnant! If Layou is set free, you will be the FIRST to DIE!" In her rage Lana released her grip on Hitori.

"Mother! Get Hermi and you to safety!" Baku commanded and the next moment he had teleported all the Mikomi, Mariko, Siren, Moyasu and Sasaeru back to the Mikomi village.

Afrain, Kyrlian and Hermi had also returned safely to their homes and with Afrain the time stop disappeared.

Tebok fell over with his face in the mud.

"Hey! Baku has disappeared too!" one of the Sendo soldiers exclaimed. The other soldiers looked around and were slightly disorientated. They were all asking the same question: "Where did those Mikomi go?"

Lana spoke to her troops. "It was Baku! He made all of those filthy Mikomi go back to their village within an instant. The chains you used on him must've been rusted or damaged! Next time I want BETTER supervision." And in her head she continued: 'And next time, I will get you, Hermi. And Baku and Hitori too. I will kill you all!"

"What should we do with this one?" Tebok asked. He threw Chounin to Lana's feet.

"Oh, please spare me! Please, pleeeaaaaaaaaaseeeee!!" Chounin asked kissing Lana's boots. "I'll do EVERYTHING you say, oh great Lady of the Sendo! I'll give you the map to the Hikari Crystal! I'll even pay you for getting it! Please just don't kill me!"

Lana waited and smirked. Then she kicked him against his shoulder and he flung on his back. "We'll let him live... He's going to guide us to that Hikari Crystal and if it turns out to be a fake... THEN we'll kill him."

"We're... back...?" Hitori stammered.

"Hitori?" Hana said amazed at the sudden return of her friend.

A mix of conversations ensued. Kino fell on his knees and Nagata immediately raced to his side. Zesshou, followed by Siren, ran to Hitori and wanted to hug her, but reconsidered. Sasaeru approached Moyasu, who was as confused as him. Baku only looked around as everyone started to form packs. Mariko was also looking around and when she saw Baku, she gasped.

"What have I done?! What have I done?!" Kino cried.

Nagata couldn't stand an old man crying. "What happened, Kino? What made you... betray us like that?"

"I couldn't help it! All I could see was me holding Urania and I couldn't help, but obey everything that evil woman ordered me to do."

"It's okay, Kino... It's okay now... she's gone."

"Hitori! I'm so glad to see you! I've been looking for days for you." Zesshou said enthusiastic.

"Thanks, but I returned to the village a few days ago. No really... thanks a lot Zesshou, that was really sweet of you." Hitori commended.

Zesshou was overcome with joy, but tried his outmost best not to show it. "Any time Lady Hitori. Any time." When he turned his head to show his smile to Siren, she looked away.

"Hitori. We heard everything that happened! About how you met Lana and Tebok and the others in the forest. And Chounin and Moyasu and that other guy," Hana explained.

"How do you know what happened back there?" Hitori asked confused.

Hana smiled. "Well, we have somewhat of a fortune teller amongst us. Well, this one doesn't reveal the future, but the present."

"Oh, I get it. Pyro Phoenixtruth must've told you everything that happened, didn't he?"

"Exactly."

"Okay, Moyasu. What just happened?" Sasaeru asked. "This is the Mikomi village isn't it? How did we get here?"

"Shut up, Sassy! I don't know!" Moyasu exclaimed furiously as she was still confused and angry at herself for not understanding what happened.

Suddenly Pyro appeared in front of her. "Baku saved you all," he said as if he was forecasting today's weather.

"But... PYRO!!" Moyasu said even more confused. She put her hands over her mouth. "Oh damn."

"Who is this little guy? Is he your friend?" Sasaeru asked.

"Li- You can see him?!" This was it! Moyasu couldn't take it any more. "Stop, stop! This is all happening way too fast!"

"Kyen Koh... or should I call you Mariko?" Baku asked.

"Uh... Mariko is fine," Mariko answered a little uncomfortable. "Can I ask you... Am I really Lana's daughter?"

"Yes you are. I don't know how... but I do know someone who does. When you have finished your quest to find the Diamond of the Angel, I will bring you to that person."

"Hello? Can I please have all your attention?" Hitori asked.

Everyone quieted down.

"Thank you. I would like everyone to take a little rest and we shall reconvene in two hours for a meeting. I'd like all of you to be there! Thank you." Hitori looked around. Everyone was still looking at her. "Uh... I'm done... please excuse me..." She went over to Kino. "Kino... You really need to take a rest, okay? If you don't want to come to the meeting... then please don't. I'll make sure someone will inform you of what we're going to discuss."

"Thank you, Hitori... I'm so sorry for everything."

"It's okay now, isn't it? I mean... we did trade prisoners and we're all back at the village."

Siren had left Zesshou's side and fluttered over to Hitori. "Lady... I would like to request something," she said and whispered her request into Hitori's ear.

"Damn that Sasaeru for letting me stay in this house with him!" Moyasu said.

Pyro smiled. "Well, it was either that or sleep outside, you know. It's not like the Mikomi have a lot of houses anymore anyway."

"Sleeping outside would've been fine! I've been doing it for almost my entire life. And now he's taking a bath. He's acting as if nothing happened! I really can't wait for that meeting and get some answers!"

"Besides you still have to finish your quest to revive your people," Pyro blurted out, "Oh damn! I shouldn't have mentioned that."

"No, indeed you shouldn't have!" Moyasu got up angrily. "And what's with that? I thought you knew everything. So why did you not... well, it's just wrong that you just spontaneously said something you didn't want to."

"Hey, I'm no god, you know!" Pyro barked, "I serve gods, but I'm not perfect!"

"You're right! I need to get out now and find a way to revive the Chi Tribe." She stomped towards the door and opened it. Outside Ezra began to cry out.

Within no time Sasaeru had got out of bath and only in his underwear raced outside and grabbed Moyasu's wrist.

"You better let go of my ARM, SASSY!" Moyasu shouted. Furiously she tried to break free.

Sasaeru tightened his grip. "I'll let go when you STOP trying to ditch me! Don't MAKE me take you in the bath with me!"

"YOU WOULDN'T DARE!!!"

"TRY ME!!"

Standing there, still wet and half naked holding a girl's arm in his hand, Sasaeru was attracting a lot of attention, including Hana's and Hitori's who were walking by.

"Aw, look at that. Isn't it cute?" Hana giggled.

"Stop, stop! Let me go! I need to go!"

"Into the bath with you! Boy, you smell too! You really need to clean up!"

"Aaah, no, don't you DARE touch me!!"

"What the HELL are you doing?"

Nagata had been preparing his horse Lightning for a journey. A very long journey. One that would take him away from all of his troubles. But someone found out. And to make matters worse, it was Yamome who found out.

"Well, let the meeting begin!" Hitori announced. "There are a few things I need to explain and announce. The first being that we were all saved thanks to Baku, the son of Afrain. Yes, you might not believe it, but that is actually the son of our most beloved god, over there."

A lot of Mikomi villagers stared at him in amazement. It was quite obvious that Baku didn't really enjoy being so popular all of a sudden.

"Secondly, according to him a confrontation between us and Lana was stopped by Afrain. I have no idea what exactly happened, because what he told me what happened was incomprehensible. And then we get to Mariko. I would like to ask you to depart as soon as possible, because now that the prisoner exchange has been solved you are now free to go to that tornado at the South Plains and get the Diamond of the Angel."

"Lady Hitori," Baku started, "I would like to go with Mariko. There's someone I want her to meet after her test of strength."

"Uh, Lady," Pyro said, "I would also like Moyasu to come with Mariko."

"What me?!" Moyasu exclaimed without thinking.

"I also want her to visit that person. It may help her on her quest to restore the lives of her lost tribe," Pyro continued.

"Then I shall go with her, according to the customs of the Tiko Tribe," Sasaeru said.

"Yes... of course... you may all join, but no more than that, except for two Mikomi guards that I want to go with you. Please... Wevlum and Wevli, I would like you to go with them."

"Yes..." "...ma'am."

"I would've liked to join too, but I know now that my place is here, at the tribe. Okay, now that that is out of the way... Something concerning Nagata," Hitori continued, "I'm afraid that Mr. Shikai has ordered me to make sure you do not leave the village. A guard shall be accompanying you at all times. Uh... Wevles, could you do that?"

"No problem!"

Nagata couldn't be more disappointed. If only he was able to escape.

"Also, Nagata, your trial is scheduled to continue tomorrow evening. And last, but not least... I would like to announce that Siren... is going to marry Zesshou!" Hitori cheered.

"Wha-WHAT?!" Zesshou gasped. Hearing this marriage being announced was bad enough... but to have to listen to Hitori announce it was heartbreaking.

"Well, according to Siren you agreed to marry her, didn't you?" Hitori asked.

Zesshou sighed. "Yes... that's true... Yes, I did accept."

"Then the celebrations shall begin tomorrow late afternoon!" Hitori said hesitantly.

"Well, that's just great," Zesshou said to Siren. He got up and left the room.
